From roaring lions to soaring skyscrapers, from sprinkle pools to heart-racing roller coasters — our Singapore trip wasn't just a vacation, it was a collection of moments stitched together with fun, laughter, and a few adrenaline-pumping surprises.
🌙🐾 Night Safari: Up Close With the Wild
Visiting the Night Safari was like stepping into a live Discovery Channel episode! We got to see lions, elephants, and other majestic animals just a few feet away — without cages, under the magical night sky. It was thrilling, peaceful, and a reminder of how beautiful the animal kingdom truly is when experienced naturally.
🍦🎈 Museum of Ice Cream: Sweet... or Maybe Not?
Next up, we visited the quirky and colorful Museum of Ice Cream.
The entire museum was a treat — playful, vibrant, and full of delicious (and Instagrammable) moments.
However, as a core vegetarian, I must admit: when I saw they had egg mixed into the ice creams,
my excitement melted faster than the actual ice cream! 😅 Still, my kids had a blast jumping into sprinkle pools and trying all the fun flavors.
🌆️ MBS SkyPark: Touching the Clouds
A trip to Singapore is incomplete without experiencing the stunning views from the
Marina Bay Sands SkyPark.
Standing atop one of the world’s most iconic buildings, overlooking the sparkling cityscape,
made me realize how far urban development has come.
It felt like being on top of the world — or at least on top of the Lion City.
🎢🎡 Universal Studios Singapore: Facing My Roller Coaster Fear
Universal Studios Singapore brought out the child in all of us — especially my children, who were unstoppable with their excitement!
As for me? Well, the roller coasters stared me down like mortal enemies. Initially, I was ready to skip it (I am not exactly a thrill-seeker),
but someone’s words hit me hard:
"You’re spending so much money to be here... and you won't even try? What’s the point?"
My ego took the hit, and fueled by a bit of pride and a lot of peer pressure, I mustered up courage.
Thanks to a friendly foreigner who became my sudden moral support partner, I finally faced the roller coaster — and survived! 😅🎢
🌴🏖️ Sentosa Island: Adventure Meets Relaxation
Sentosa was pure magic — a paradise island blending beaches, thrilling attractions, and tropical vibes.
We soaked up everything from relaxing strolls to cable car rides to vibrant shows.
It truly felt like a mini-vacation inside the bigger vacation!
Every corner of Sentosa had a new surprise waiting — making it the perfect escape for both adventure seekers and chill lovers alike.
🏙️🚶♂️ City Tour: Wrapping Up with a Lot of Walking
Our final day was spent on a city tour of Singapore, exploring its clean streets, towering skyscrapers, and cultural corners.
If I thought my gym workouts were intense, this tour proved me wrong —
walking around Singapore was the ultimate cardio challenge! 😄
But every step was worth it as we soaked in the energy and charm of this magnificent city.
📚🏗️ Takeaways from Singapore
Beyond the fun, the trip was a huge eye-opener. The architectural wonders, urban planning, and skyscrapers are absolutely next-level compared to back home. Singapore stands as a futuristic model of how cities can grow smartly and beautifully.
✈️📖 The Only Missing Piece: No Passport Stamp
One thing that stung a little — Singapore has gone so tech-savvy that now, they don’t stamp passports anymore!
As someone who treasures passport stamps like trophies, it felt like something major was missing from my travel collection.
A small gap in an otherwise flawless family adventure.
