Not a Full Trip, But My Passport Thinks It Was 🇭🇰✔️
October 2016 | With Samir Dadia, Rupesh Shah & Siddharth Khajuria
On my way to China, I had a unique little detour — Hong Kong served as my midway transit stop. Thanks to a 24-hour transit visa, I had just enough time to step out and soak in a slice of this iconic city.
👥 Who Was There
I wasn’t alone in this little detour. I was accompanied by Samir Dadia, Rupesh Shah, and Siddharth Khajuria — a great group to wander through any city with, even if only for a few hours.
🎉 The Fun Side
Hong Kong was full of energy and charisma — and people-watching there was a whole sport in itself. The only challenge? Language barriers.
Let’s just say ordering food or asking for directions turned into an amusing game of charades and guesswork.
And speaking of food — yep, the same old story. Being a core vegetarian in foreign lands is like being on a culinary treasure hunt… blindfolded. But hey, it builds character.
📌 Trip Takeaways & The Real Highlight
The visit may have been short and sweet, but it came with something I truly cherish — a Hong Kong immigration stamp on my passport! ✨
For most, it might be a simple formal stamp. But for me? It’s a badge of honor. I’m weirdly obsessed with passport stamps — they’re like trophies that silently shout,
“Yes, I was here!”
After our mini-Hong Kong escapade, we continued the journey by car into China, but not before this city made its mark — quite literally.
